About Waldorf Home Exchange

What is Waldorf Home Exchange?

Waldorf Home Exchange is a membership website facilitating travel around the world within the Waldorf Community. Registered members can list home exchanges, rentals or share situations and have access to a continually growing database of members, all of whom have a Waldorf Affiliation.

How it works?

Once members register for their three-year membership on our secure password protected website, they list their exchange property and can search for a prospective exchange by city, state or country. Members contact one another directly to make specific exchange arrangements. A registration payment of $50.00 USD for a 3 year membership is made through Paypal.

Who are we?

Waldorf Home Exchange (formerly Waldorf House Exchange Program) was started in 1991. The printed Directory of members was assembled by Shelia Gradie, a Waldorf parent from Canada. In 1998, Betty Ann Beauchamp a parent of two sons who had attended Sacramento Waldorf School in Fair Oaks took over as Director and began the on-line directory known as WHEPonline.com.

Carla Caletti, parent of a child at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm in Santa Rosa, CA, was WHE's Director from 2010 to 2015. She developed the updated Waldorf Home Exchange website to include a growing worldwide membership.

Paule Bézaire is the new Director of WHE. She has been involved with Orchard Valley Waldorf School in Vermont since its nceptionin 2004. Inspired by the Waldorf curriculum and its holistic nature, she sought the roots of this philosophy. She has been the secretary of the Green Mountain Branch of the Anthroposophical Society in America (Vermont) since 2011. She lives in Vermont with her five children and is delighted to find ways to create a Waldof network throughout the world.
